Dahlonega, the site of the first major U.S. Gold Rush in 1828, is located just off interstate Georgia 400 in the pristine and picturesque North Georgia Mountains.
Unique shopping opportunities abound in Dahlonega, especially around its historic square that easily earned a coveted spot on the National Register of Historic Places.
Now the center of a thriving music and arts scene, and the heart of Georgia's wine industry, Dahlonega provides much to see and do during every season.
